an outstanding opportunity for an Employer Engagement Manager to
join their team. The Employer Engagement Manager plays a vital role
on the Career & Internship Center's Employer & Community
Connections team by highlighting and cultivating employer
relationships; managing our high-visibility, complex events that
engage thousands of students and hundreds of employers annually;
and driving the center's employer communications and
employer-focused data collection efforts. This position is
supervised by the Associate Director of the Employer & Community
Connections Team, with additional support and insight provided by
Executive Leadership within the Center. This role may telework up
to 2 days weekly, though this may change based on center
needs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEmployer Event Management
- In collaboration with team and Center leadership, plan,
implement, manage and evaluate 4 in-person signature fairs, 3-4
virtual fairs, and 1-2 small on-campus student job fairs.
- For in-person events: Secure venues, generate invitation lists,
manage registrations, arrange transportation and parking, manage
menus and retain other vendors.
- For virtual events: Create event in appropriate system,
generate invitation lists, manage registrations, oversee
communications cadence, execute communication plan, and retain any
necessary vendors.
- Utilize Handshake to create and manage events, registrations
and RSVPs, and marketing and outreach to both employer/alumni and
student populations.
- Oversee day-of logistics and execution of selected events,
including delegation or coordination of volunteer and staff
support.
- Manage the On-Campus Interview Program and the Employer
Information Session program including scheduling, invoicing
employers, setting up TouchNet store items, and arranging the room
and AV.
- Support several smaller events per quarter such as panels,
networking sessions, lunch and learns, and workshops to connect
students with industry professionals.
- Support employers & campus partners in utilizing the Handshake
Career Fair platform as needed.Employer Outreach and
Communication
- Oversee creation and production of marketing materials for
career fairs and other events.
- Blog weekly to promote upcoming virtual employer events.
- Periodically create, or solicit from employers, original
written content on relevant themes for the center's blog and social
media channels.
- Provide vision for how various events are promoted on the
center's social media channels in conjunction with Center
leadership.
- Build and maintain an accurate and up-to-date campus career
fair calendar, both internal and external-facing.
- Provide guidance to employers navigating the career fair
landscape and options at the University of Washington.
- Periodically facilitate an Employer Education Webinar.Data
Collection and Management
- Manage employer contacts and track engagement in the Handshake
CRM.
- Identify trends in student attendance and interests to help
determine which events to produce.
- Develop survey and satisfaction indicators for employer
engagement in fair-type events.
- Develop student interest, learning, and impact surveys.
- Work with campus partners to disaggregate attendance data and
help determine outreach strategies to increase attendance of target
populations.
- Develop the career fair post-report, which tracks expenses,
revenue, attendance, and more.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of experience in events management, business
development, advancement or related fieldEquivalent
education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications
except when there are legal requirements, such as a
license/certification/registration.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally
in writing.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with
a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to plan work effectively, manage multiple projects
simultaneously, follow through to completion, and meet
deadlines.
- Experience handling day-of logistics for complex events
involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in utilizing (and trouble-shooting) issues with
computer applications, online platforms, and databases (i.e. MS
Office, Zoom, shared cloud storage spaces, databases, Handshake
etc.).DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Interest in evaluating and modifying services, resources, and
messaging to enhance access for students from historically
marginalized communities.
