scientists.SeaHub is looking for an Executive Director to lead
SeaBridge, a new program designed to make Seattle the global
epicenter of mammalian genome programming. The successful candidate
will be responsible for leading the overall program and integrating
its two central components: a postdoctoral fellowship program and a
translational research center. This position requires competence in
business leadership, community-building, and ability to understand

Functions
- Lead the SeaBridge program, including its postdoctoral
fellowship program and translational research center,
LaunchPad
- Spin out companies from SeaHub, democratizing SeaHub
technologies
- Drive innovation strategy and integration across SeaHub
- Identify and validate new translational opportunities, e.g., by
identifying market needs, conducting market research, undertaking
feasibility analysis
- Drive innovation tactics at LaunchPad, e.g., by creating
timelines and managing projects
- Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to startup founders
and leadership teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including investors, partners, and collaborators
- Build and foster the entrepreneurial ecosystem with SeaBridge
Fellows and other partners across Seattle
- Lead, build, and drive the management of budgets, financial
planning, and reporting to ensure the financial health of
LaunchPad
- Provide guidance and assistance to new ventures
- Support fundraising efforts, investor relations, and strategic
partnerships to accelerate business growthRequired Experience and
Education
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
- A proven entrepreneur, operator, or business leader with a
track record of launching, scaling, or exiting successful
ventures
- Understanding of business strategy, operations, and financial
management
- Deep understanding of start-up ecosystems, venture capital, and
business operations
- Demonstrated ability to drive growth and achieve business
objectives
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, build teams, and drive execution
in fast-paced environments
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex
problems
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving
skillsPreferred Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in biological, chemical, or physical sciences Leadership
experience in early-stage start-up companies
- Experience leading pharmaceutical projects or teams
- Experience in academic and corporate fundraising
- Demonstrated leadership in product developmentPhysical Demands
- Fine motor movements in fingers/hands to operate computers and
other office equipment
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or
reachPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This role is currently working onsite and is expected to work
onsite for the majority of the working hours. We are a Washington
State employer, and the primary work location for Allen Institute's
SeaHub employees is 700 Dexter Ave N.; any remote work must be
performed in Washington State.Travel

- $236,350 - $341,220 ** Final salary depends on required
education for the role, experience, and level of skills relevant to
the role, along with work location, where applicable.Benefits
