- Job Overview: Extended care unit for patients not ready to be discharged after surgery.
- Common Cases: Orthopedics, general, gyn, neuro, vascular, ent.
  - Job Requirements
  - Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PEARS or PALS
  - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Med Surg experience.
    - Schedule Information
    - Shifts: 1900-0730, 3 nights per week
    - Weekend/Call Requirement: None
    - Holiday/Call Requirement: Closed on major holidays.
      - Unit Specific Information
      - # of beds: 8
      - Ratios: 1:4 and 1:6
      - Phase 1 and Phase 2: Phase 2 and observation status
      - RNs read strips: yes
      - Floating Requirements: No
      - Scrub Color/Dress Code: None
        
        Additional Details
        
        Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: House Supervisor in charge overnight
        
        Unit/Department specific orientation: ECU - extended care unit for patients not ready to be discharged after surgery.
