  • Ultrasound Tech position at St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
  • Department: Radiology - U/S
  • Common types of imaging/studies performed: Head and neck, whole body, some procedures.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have experience with head and neck scans and body scanning.
    • General Certification Requirements: BLS, RDMS.
      • Schedule Information
      • Variable Hours (Days, Swings, Graves), no call (schedule in advance).
      • Fri-Sun, 7a-7p (possible variable hours on Friday), no call.
      • 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts based on need.
      • No self-scheduling; set schedule. Overtime is available.
      • Weeknight Call Requirements: 5:30p-7a Mon-Fri.
      • Weekend call: 7a-7p.
      • Holiday Requirements: Traveler can decline holiday openings.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • No floating/covering other areas.
          • Additional Details
          • AB and OB certification would be helpful.
          • Average # of scans/studies per day: About 30-40 per 10 hour shift between 4 techs.
          • EMR &/or PACS used: EPIC and McKesson PACS.
          • Department Specific Equipment: GE and Phillips.
          • Lead Tech in the department.
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Light blue scrubs provided or can wear your own.
          • Department specific orientation: generally 1-2 weeks depending on experience.
